Tension As Death Toll Rises to 17 in Madagali Terror Attack
The death toll from the recent ISWAP attack on Shuwari Krichinga village in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa has risen to 17 following further recovery of bodies.
Sources said a follow-up assessment conducted at about 7:00 a.m. on Feb. 25 led to the discovery of nine additional corpses at the scene of the attack.
The initial report had confirmed eight fatalities after the terrorists stormed the community and opened fire on residents. The fresh recovery brings the total number of deaths to 17.
Search and clearance operations are ongoing in the area as authorities intensify efforts to secure the community and prevent further attacks.
