JUST-IN: JAMB Rejects Lead City University Law Admissions
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has disowned the admission of candidates into the Law Faculty of Lead City University, stating that the programme remains under a five year suspension.
The Board clarifies that the admissions did not pass through the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), the only authorised platform for processing admissions into tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
In a statement issued by its Public Communications Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB says it has received several complaints accusing the Board of negligence for allowing students to be admitted into the university’s Law Faculty despite the subsisting suspension.
JAMB describes the development as unfortunate and reiterates that any admission conducted outside CAPS is illegal and invalid.
The Board warns prospective candidates to avoid accepting admission offers that are not processed through CAPS, urging them to verify their admission status on the official portal before proceeding with registration.See more, details. .
