BREAKING NEWS: Niger Finally Regains Control
Niger’s military government has revoked the gold mining licenses of three foreign companies and refused to extend the oil exploration permit of the British firm Savannah Energy.
Authorities claim these companies have failed to meet key obligations, including paying taxes and submitting required reports.
This decision also blocks any new exploration in the Agadem Rift Basin, Niger’s main oil-producing region.
This move reflects a growing trend across Africa: leaders seeking to regain control of their natural resources and protect national sovereignty.
