Kaduna: Tension As Thugs Attack El-Rufai’s Political Meetings

The Kaduna State Police Command has announced the launch of a full investigation into the allegation that the political meeting of the immediate past governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai, was disrupted with violence and sporadic gunshots.
According to the police, the incident happened after a political gathering, which was reportedly convened under the platform of the Social Democratic Party without any form of notification to the security agencies.

Speaking on the matter, the spokesperson of the police in the state, DSP Mansir Hassan, noted that despite repeated warnings by security agencies, the event was organised and the organisers went ahead with the event, which allegedly created the ground for the thugs to infiltrate and unleash violence.
