JUST—IN: Xi, Modi Push for Closer China-India Ties Amid Global Trade Tensions
Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for stronger cooperation between China and India, stressing the need for both nations to work together in shaping global affairs.
Speaking during a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Xi declared, “It is time for the dragon and the elephant to dance together. We have to fulfill our historic obligations to uphold multilateralism and a multipolar world.”
The meeting comes at a time of heightened global economic uncertainty, particularly following the recent tariff measures introduced by U.S. President Donald Trump.
