NDPC Probes Remita, Sterling Bank Over Data Breach.
The Nigeria Data Protection Commission has launched an investigation into an alleged data breach involving Remita Payment Services Ltd., Sterling Bank, and other entities.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Head of Legal, Enforcement & Regulations at NDPC, Mr. Babatunde Bamigboye, said a notice of investigation was served on the parties on April 1, 2026, in line with its established procedures.
Bamigboye said relevant parties have already begun providing information to assist the probe.
