BREAKING: China Unveils First Universal 6G Chip
China has announced a major technological breakthrough with the development of the world’s first “all-frequency” 6G chip, a move that could reshape global connectivity and position Beijing as a leader in next-generation communications.
The chip, jointly developed by researchers at Peking University and the City University of Hong Kong, was detailed in a peer-reviewed study published in Nature.
According to the report, the chip is capable of operating across the entire wireless spectrum, ranging from 0.5 GHz to 115 GHz. This innovation removes the long-standing dependence on multiple radio systems to cover different frequency bands.
