Three people, including a 17 year old girl, lost their lives on Friday after a vehicle in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s convoy lost control and rammed into roadside structures in Obogoro, near the Dr Goodluck Jonathan Bridge in Bayelsa State.

The accident happened during the president’s one day working visit to commission projects executed by Governor Douye Diri.

The convoy was reportedly heading toward the Angiama Oporoma Bridge when the last vehicle suddenly veered off the road.

Eyewitnesses said the vehicle crashed into a mechanic workshop and nearby structures before it was eventually halted by concrete slabs left behind after construction work on the bridge.
