FG Deepens Clean Energy Drive, Targets Northern Expansion With Katstina Hub
The Federal Government is intensifying efforts to expand clean and affordable transportation across northern Nigeria, as Katsina State set to benefit from a new partnership under the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles (Pi-CNG & EV).
This follows a high-level engagement between officials of the initiative and the Katsina State Government aimed at accelerating the deployment of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure in the state.
Under the plan, the Federal Government will support the establishment of CNG refuelling stations, vehicle conversion centres, EV charging infrastructure, and a dedicated clean energy corridor along key northern routes.
The programme also includes the training of youths as certified technicians to drive local capacity in the emerging sector.
The move is part of broader federal efforts to cushion the impact of rising fuel costs on Nigerians, while positioning the country towards a more sustainable and cost-effective transport system.Continue Your, Reading. .
