Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has fired back at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, following alleged remarks that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should have ordered his assassination for describing him as “a criminal.”

Taking to his verified X handle on Wednesday, Sowore accused the minister of corruption, land grabbing, and human rights abuses, particularly during his time as Governor of Rivers State.

“If Nigerians weren’t so docile, complacent, and cowardly, criminals, thieves, and murderers like Wike would never have any leadership roles in this country,” Sowore wrote.

He further alleged that Wike was complicit in land racketeering in Abuja, looting public resources in Rivers, and the violent crackdown on residents of Obigbo, claiming such actions should land him before the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague.

The fiery response comes amid heightened political tensions between Sowore and key figures in President Tinubu’s administration.
