Singer B-Red Escapes Assassination in Osun, Govt Demands Arrest of Suspect

Adebayo Adeleke, popularly known as B-Red and son of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, narrowly escaped an a+sass+nation attempt in Osogbo on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident reportedly occurred around 3:30 PM near the Oke-Fia axis, close to the Government House, when the music star was said to have been trailed and pursued by suspected hoodlums.

Recounting the incident, B-Red said, “As I went out to buy some stuff around Alekuwodo market, I just saw some Okada riders with AMBO caps trying to surround my vehicle at a traffic point under Okefia Bridge.”

He explained that the situation escalated when another vehicle joined the scene. “As we tried to move out, we saw a white Toyota Venza coming towards us with a shout of ‘it is him; it is him.’”

According to him, the att@ckers intensified their efforts as he attempted to escape. “As we moved, the Toyota Venza pursued us, trying to block my jeep. At the same time, the multiple motorcycles also joined in the chase. The chasing continued until we got to the gate of the Osun State Government House, Oke-Fia.”

B-Red further said that one of the people involved in the att@ck was Asiri Eniba, whom he described as a not+rious political thug. “We identified one of the occupants of the vehicle to be Asiri Eniba,” he stated.

The matter has since been reported to the police for investigation.

Reacting to the development, the Osun State Government called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the suspect.

The demand was conveyed in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, who urged security agencies to act without delay.
