Harry Maguire Praises Rúben Amorim: ‘He’s a Great Manager’

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has praised former manager Rúben Amorim, insisting he has no hard feelings towards the Portuguese coach despite his difficult spell at Old Trafford.

Maguire spoke positively about Amorim following their reunion, saying he was pleased to see his former manager and believes he can enjoy success at his new club.

“It’s been great to see Rúben Amorim. He’s a great manager,” Maguire said.
The England international added that he had no criticism of Amorim despite the coach’s unsuccessful tenure at Manchester United.

“I have nothing bad to say about the guy. It just didn’t work out at United. But he’s got a massive club now. I’ll be following them and hope they have an amazing season.”

Amorim’s time at Manchester United ended after the Portuguese manager struggled to produce consistent results during his spell at the club. Maguire has previously defended Amorim’s coaching ability, saying he liked his ideas even though they did not work with the United squad.
