BREAKING: AC Milan Agree Deal to Sign Diego Moreira From Strasbourg
AC Milan have reached a verbal agreement with RC Strasbourg to sign Belgian winger Diego Moreira, with the transfer package reportedly worth €50 million plus add-ons.
The agreement was reached after Milan stepped up their pursuit of the 22-year-old attacker, with the two clubs now preparing the necessary paperwork to complete the transfer.
Moreira had attracted interest from clubs in Germany and England, but the Belgium international reportedly made it clear that AC Milan was his preferred destination.
The deal is expected to include a sell-on clause, meaning Strasbourg could retain a percentage of any future transfer involving the player.
Medical Expected Before Transfer Is Completed
While a verbal agreement is now in place, the transfer is not officially completed yet.
Medical examinations are expected to be arranged before the necessary documents are signed and the move is formally announced.
Moreira joined Strasbourg permanently from Chelsea in 2024 and has established himself as an important player for the French club. He can operate on the left wing and also play in other attacking positions.
The Belgian international contributed five goals and nine assists in 42 competitive appearances for Strasbourg last season, further increasing his value in the transfer market.
Milan’s move comes after RB Leipzig had also shown strong interest in the player, although negotiations between the German club and Strasbourg had stalled.
For now, the verbal agreement is in place and paperwork is being prepared, with the final formalities expected before Moreira becomes an AC Milan player.
