BREAKING: AC Milan Advance Talks to Sign Diego Moreira From Strasbourg
AC Milan have opened advanced negotiations with RC Strasbourg over the signing of Belgian winger Diego Moreira, with talks progressing on both the club and player sides.
According to the latest reports, Milan are negotiating directly with Strasbourg as they look to complete a deal for the 22-year-old attacker.
Moreira has already agreed personal terms with the Italian club, putting Milan in a strong position to secure his signature.
Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes is playing a leading role in the negotiations, with the agent representing Moreira and helping facilitate discussions between the relevant parties.
The remaining major hurdle is an agreement between AC Milan and Strasbourg over the transfer fee.
Moreira, who can operate on the left side and in wing-back positions, has attracted interest from several European clubs during the summer transfer window.
The Belgian international joined Strasbourg permanently after previously being contracted to Chelsea and has continued to establish himself in French football.
Milan’s interest has now accelerated, with negotiations described as advanced as the Rossoneri attempt to beat competing clubs to the player’s signature.
The transfer is not officially completed yet, however, as the final agreement between Milan and Strasbourg and the necessary formalities still need to be concluded.
If the two clubs reach an agreement, Moreira will move closer to becoming the latest major addition to Milan’s squad.
