Keyamo Engages Etihad Airways on Daily Abu Dhabi–Lagos Flights
Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has held discussions with the leadership of Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on strengthening aviation ties between Nigeria and the UAE.
Keyamo said the meeting focused on the final steps towards the commencement of Etihad Airways’ daily Abu Dhabi–Lagos service from March 18, 2027.
The minister also said both sides discussed opportunities to develop a broader strategic partnership covering air connectivity, investment, aviation training, technology and cargo operations.

As part of his visit, Keyamo toured Etihad Aviation Training and Zayed International Airport, where he explored opportunities for capacity building and the adoption of ideas from Abu Dhabi’s aviation sector.
According to the minister, the engagements are aimed at deepening cooperation between Nigeria and the UAE while improving connectivity and developing Nigeria’s aviation capacity.
