Man Arrested in Salima For Sodomizing 11-year-old Boy
Police in Salima have arrested 28-year-old Chesamu Adam for sodomy following allegations that he was sexually abusing an 11-year-old boy.
According to Salima police public relations officer Rabecca Ndiwate, the incident occurred during the month of August, 2026 at Mtukulamwendo.
“It was on 16th August when the victim narrated to his brother that the suspect, who repairs phone at the said trading centre, has been sodomising him on a number of occasions, and was afraid to break the news to his parents.” said Ndiwate.
Immediately, a complaint was lodged at police, the victim was sent to Salima district hospital for medical examination, which indicated that the victim had indeed been sodomised.
Chesamu, who hails from N’gomba village, Traditional Authority Lulanga, Mangochi, will appear in court soon.
