The Lagos and Ogun state police commands say they have rescued five kidnapped victims and killed four suspected kidnappers within 48 hours of launching Operation KO S’AYE.

The police disclosed this in a statement on Sunday. According to the statement, operatives conducting clearance operations along the forest boundary between Lagos and Ogun states, around the J3/J4 axis of Ogbere in Ogun, engaged the suspected kidnappers during the operation.

The police said four suspected kidnappers were killed during the encounter, while four others were arrested. The commands also said 84 other suspects were arrested during the operation.

Part of the statement read: “The Nigeria Police Force remains resolute in ensuring there is no hiding place for criminals, especially kidnappers, through intelligence-led operations and sustained security efforts.

“Ko S’aye fun iwa odaran. No Place for criminalities. The forests are no longer safe havens for criminals.”
