In a statement on Friday, the bureau dismissed insinuations that the findings were unprecedented, stressing that the investigation was in line with standard safety procedures.

“This was not the first report of its kind conducted by the bureau. Our tests confirmed that the crew members in question were positive for ethyl,” the NSIB stated.
