NLD Decries Harsh Economic Realities, Calls for Urgent Action
A political pressure group under the aegis of the Northern League of Democrats (NLD) has expressed concern over the state of Nigeria’s economy, lamenting what it described as a steady decline over the years.. .Read ..Full.. Article.. .
In a statement issued on Thursday, the group said the country’s economic outlook has continued to worsen, with citizens bearing the brunt of rising inflation, unemployment, and dwindling purchasing power.
According to the NLD, successive administrations have failed to implement sustainable economic policies capable of reversing the downward trend and stabilizing the nation’s finances.
“The Nigerian economy has been dwindling for years, and the present situation reflects the failure of leadership and policy inconsistency,” the group said, while urging government at all levels to take urgent steps to address the crisis.
