6 Brigade, Nigerian Army Arrest Notorious Terror Suspect In Taraba
Troops of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, and Sector 3, Operation Whirl Stroke, have apprehended a suspected high-profile terrorist during a targeted operation in Taraba State.
In a statement released on Friday by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 6 Brigade, Lieutenant Umar Muhammad, the success, according to the troops, was recorded following credible intelligence.
“Acting on credible intelligence, the troops intercepted the suspect at Takum Junction in Wukari Local Government Area on Wednesday, September 18, 2025. The 35-year-old suspect, identified as Saawuan Wuaiyolna, was arrested while riding a motorcycle.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Wuaiyolna hails from Ateryange community in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State and is believed to be a key member of a notorious gang led by wanted criminal kingpin Akiki Utivi, also known as ‘Full Fire’,” Muhammad said in the statement. .
