Fulani Herders Flee After Destroying Farmland In Mangu, Abandon 85 Cows

Suspected Fulani herders fled after allegedly destroying farmlands and abandoning 85 cows in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Security sources said the incident occurred at about 5:57 p.m. on March 18 in Dumwell community, following reports of destruction of crops by grazing cattle.

Troops of Operation Safe Haven, deployed at Sabon Gari, responded promptly to the distress call.

On arrival, the herders reportedly fled the scene on sighting the troops, abandoning 85 cows.

The recovered livestock are currently in the custody of security personnel for further action, while efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible for the destruction.
