BREAKING: Troops Recover Explosives In Buratai, Borno
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have recovered explosive materials following a recent attack by suspected Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters in Buratai, Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.
Security sources said the recovery was made at about 9:00 a.m. on March 18 during a follow-up exploitation operation by troops of 135 Special Forces Battalion within the Buratai perimeter and Kufe Buratai general area.
Items recovered include one rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) propeller, one 36 hand grenade, and an improvised explosive device (IED).
The sources said the operation followed an earlier terrorist attack on troops in the area on March 16.
All recovered items are in the custody of troops for further action, while operations continue to clear the area.See more, details. .
