Egypt, Netherlands, Spain and Poland Ambassadors, Other Diplomats Celebrate Eid-el-Fitr in Katsina

A delegation of 24 foreign diplomats, led by His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Fuad, arrived Katsina on Friday, March 20, to participate in the Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebrations in the state.

The delegation, which included ambassadors from the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, and other nations, witnessed the religious observances and engaged with local leadership.

The diplomats landed at Umaru Musa Yaradua International Airport at approximately 1000 hours and proceeded to the Emir’s Palace to join the Eid prayers and ceremonies. They were later received at the Government House for customary interactions with the state government officials.

Security agencies provided comprehensive arrangements to ensure a hitch-free visit. Monitoring and patrols were sustained throughout the day to guarantee the safety of both the dignitaries and the public.

The visit illustrated the strong diplomatic engagement of foreign missions in Nigeria and reflected their interest in participating in cultural and religious events, promoting interfaith understanding and international goodwill.

The Katsina State Police Command confirmed that the event proceeded peacefully, with no disruption reported.
