Manchester United Close In on Carlos Baleba Transfer as Brighton Talks Advance
Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba as the club continues its efforts to strengthen the midfield.
United have been pursuing the Cameroon international for some time and are now in advanced negotiations with Brighton over a potential transfer.
Recent reports indicate that Manchester United have put forward a package worth around £60 million plus £5 million in potential add-ons, although the exact final structure of the deal remains subject to negotiations.
The two clubs have yet to formally complete the agreement, but discussions have progressed significantly, with reports suggesting that United are getting closer to reaching a full agreement with Brighton.
Baleba has been a long-standing target for Manchester United, having attracted the club’s attention during the previous transfer window. United’s interest has continued as they look to add more strength and athleticism to their midfield.
The 22-year-old midfielder joined Brighton from Lille in 2023 and has established himself as an important player for the Premier League club.
Manchester United have already strengthened their midfield this summer with the arrivals of Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos, and Baleba would represent another significant addition if the deal is completed.
Deal not completed yet
Despite the positive developments, Baleba is not yet officially a Manchester United player.
Negotiations between United and Brighton are continuing, and the final agreement must be reached before the transfer can be completed.
If the clubs reach an agreement and personal terms are finalised, Baleba could become the latest major addition to Manchester United’s midfield
