Laide Bakare Opens Up on Fallout With Eniola Badmus, Reveals Former Friendship Details

Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has revisited her fallout with colleague Eniola Badmus, recalling their former closeness before their relationship reportedly soured following an embarrassing incident at a party.

During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Bakare revealed that the actress were once close friends, with Eniola reportedly visiting her home and eating her mother’s food.

“Because if I look back, it was so lovely between us. She comes to my family house regularly on a regular basis. She knows my mother. My mother will cook, we will eat together,”she recalled

However, their relationship allegedly took a different turn at a party where Eniola reportedly asked content creators not to film them together and declined to dance with Bakare. The incident reportedly attracted attention and went viral.

Recalling the moment, Bakare said Eniola had declared, “Don’t record her with me, she is not my friend.”

She added that she immediately dismissed the idea of maintaining a friendship with someone who did not want to associate with her.

When Chude pointed out that Eniola had eventually apologised, Bakare clarified that her reaction came from her own heart.

“That was not from her; that was from her PR,” she said.

Addressing how people might interpret her response, she added, “Maybe they feel I’m going low. You don’t go low. The polish put on something peacefully.”

Chude subsequently complimented Eniola’s appearance, suggesting that she remained beautiful without makeup or filters.

Bakare disagreed, insisting that Eniola was not attractive despite losing weight and undergoing other changes.

“No, she’s not fine. Yeah. Even with the losing weight, even with everything, she still cannot know,” she responded.
