BREAKING: Tinubu Insists Nigeria Will Never Return to Fuel Subsidy Regime
President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s position against the reintroduction of fuel subsidy, insisting that Nigeria will not return to the policy.
Speaking at an event, the president suggested that reversing the decision would require a change in the country’s leadership, referencing key political officeholders, including state governors and the Senate President.
Tinubu, while addressing the audience, said,“Nigeria will never go back to subsidy, unless there’s no uncommon governor, unless there’s no uncommon senate president, unless there’s no law making the game.”
He also appeared to draw attention to the audience’s reaction as he made the remarks, asking, “Look at these people. You want to laugh?”
The president maintained his stance on the subsidy policy.
